QUARANTINE TOYS : ALL THE THINGS I'VE PURCHASED SINCE THE LOCK DOWN

I hope that everyone reading this is safe and well. Please remember that we are going through this together and you are not alone even if you are dealing with this crisis by yourself.
With that said let’s get into the things I have purchased to ease my “I can’t go outside pain” from Amazon over the past 3 weeks.

A Facial Steamer
I have always wanted a face steamer, I heard that it worked wonders for acne prone skin by opening pores allowing a more in-depth cleansing experience. I actually had it in my basket for a few weeks prior to the lock down. I wanted to give my whole body a fresh start during this time and this was the first thing I purchased. I think before we return to the outside we should give our our bodies the opportunity to recover from all the damage that was done prior to the pandemic. I only use it once a week but I have seen a difference in the appearance of my skin, specifically with the size of my pores.
2. A Keurig
In my last post I mentioned that I love to get a cup of coffee to kick off my weekday WFH routine. I wake up, brew my coffee then try to do 30 mins of cardio (this doesn’t always happen) then shower then off to the designated work-space. The Keurig is great because you do not have to do much in order to get good tasting coffee. Once I get my coffee kick off I pace myself and try to remain upbeat throughout the day.
3. A Monitor
This was a really realllllllllly smart purchase (insert glasses emoji here). Once my employers learned enough about the Covid-19 epidemic they swiftly decided to make all employees that could work from home do just that. We were issued laptops and instructions on how to complete our daily work tasks. From the beginning I requested a mouse and mouse-pad with the device since being able to comfortably scroll, copy and paste was important to me. The idea of having a monitor was mentioned by a colleague and it stuck with me. I decided not to drag my feet with this since I had no real idea how long I would be working from home as well as the fact that online shipping was becoming a little iffy and I did not want to miss an opportunity to work as effective and efficiently as I could. It came within a week and it has been the best purchase ever, everything is clear and I don’t have to be hunched over a tiny laptop screen!
4. A Computer Chair Cover
I had purchased a computer desk and chair over 5 years ago AND NEVER USED THEM. It would become a hoarding space for school books, magazines and miscellaneous items that had no designated space in my apartment. Once when I received the news that I would be working from home, I was “low key” delighted to finally use the space for what I had originally intended. Once I moved somethings around, the space was ready, except the leather chair that seemed to be shedding tiny brown pieces from the back and the arm rest of the chair, I thought to myself, I’ve never used this chair so why is it shedding?! I was horrified. My mom then explained to me that this is what happens to dried out leather. What do I do now? Should I get a new chair? How long do I have to wait for shipping? Do I have to break the old chair down? It was all too much. I thought to myself if they have chair covers for couches they might have them for computer chairs - voila! amazon had it, and it arrived after 4 days and it was easy to slip over my chair, I have the navy blue one because I absolutely love nautical colors.
5. A Tripod
I made a decision that I wanted to become more involved with Lemoosh and improve Lemoosh’s social media presence. I wish to grow my audience (so tell your friends!) and in order to do this I must share more of myself since this is what people relate to. I ordered a tripod to take better photos alone, I have no idea what I’m doing but I’m very excited to try something new that I will be able to share with my readers and followers on social media. My goal is to produce content that will drive more traffic to this page as well as increase my following on social media (my current goal is 1k followers). Lets get it!
If you haven’t purchased any quarantine toys its completely OK. This is a difficult time for everyone and prioritizing is super important. Shout outs to the parents and care takers who are trying to make the best decisions for themselves and others during these challenging times. Be clear and intentional with your purchases.
